Book Review :Inkheart by Cornelia Funke
Summary: This book is the first in a series of three fantasy novels, Inheart, Inkspell and Inkdeath.
The story starts with a little girl named Meggie when her father who is a bookbinder has a strange conversation with a strange man named Dustfinger who calls her father "Silvertounge."Mo, Meggie's father, gives her aunt Elenore, a book that is called Inkheart. That night strange men invade aunt Elenore's house and take the book and Meggie's father Mo away. Meggie is determined to rescue her father. When they arrive at the strangers camp they discover something Meggie could have never imagined.
When Meggie was quite young her father and mother were reading a book to her and suddenly her mother and their two cats disappeared. In place of them was two evil characters from the book they were reading. Her father drove them away with a sword and they never returned, but now they have come back for the book. After this even Meggie's life changes forever.
Review: This is a captivating adventure novel that will make you want to read the entire series without stopping. It has excitement on each page and will leave you dying for more. If you are a Harry Potter or Percy Jackson fan this would be a great choice for you.
